About Us

Pam Margetson

Pam Margetson is a clinical social worker who has worked with children and their families for 25 years. She received her Masters level degree from the University of Toronto in 1992, and is registered to practice by the Ontario College of Social Workers.

Formerly a therapist in a children's mental health agency and a university field instructor, Pam has a special interest in families. She specializes in family therapy working with the child or youth and their family to deal more effectively with a wide range of individual or shared concerns.

This could include improving communication to help with parent-child conflicts, developing more effective coping strategies, or helping families adjust to different transitions in their life. Pam particularly enjoys working with adolescents, and will work with the young person individually to overcome such difficulties as depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, and anger control.
She also works with the adults as their individual and marital issues often impact not only them but also their children.

Pam believes in people and their ability to solve problems. Her focus is to help people find effective solutions for their lives in a way that feels right for them, and produces benefits quickly.

Pam is a wife and a mother, and understands how important it is to keep family, relationships and career in perspective.
